Abryanz the Brand….
Born 25 years ago as Brian Titus Ahumuza, now popularly known as Abryanz, proved many wrong when he fulfilled whatever the crowd expected at this year’s event. Not even the MTVBase MAMA Awards had such a glamorous 5 star red carpet event, BET TV coverage, good sound system, world class stage and the international celebrity appearances among others. This has firmly stamped Abryanz as a big brand in Uganda, Ciroc might be now smiling with no regrets of making him the first Brand ambassador in the East African Region.
With it being the only Fashion Awards in Uganda and on the continent, this didn’t stop it from being a success, seeing a lot of nominees across the Africa grace the event. The hosts, Idris Sultan who was also the Official host, Miss vimbai and Hellena from Zimbabwe were on point. During a pre-interview to the event, Idris Sultan was quoted,“I didn’t hesitate to take on the host role because this was a big platform for me to shine”.
African Fashionista, David Tlale…

Acts and Performances..
From the models to artistes, everything was on point, unlike WizKid who failed to turn up at the StarTimes celebrations. Nigeria’s Run Town known for his ‘Bend Down Pause’ hit stepped on stage by midnight and put up an epic performance, Kenya’s diva Avril also worked out the classy crowd as Uganda’s energetic stage performer Bebe Cool, Allan Tonix and fast rising singer Ceasorous also thrilled the revelers at the event that ended around 1am.
