It will cost any club interested in Romelu Lukaku a world-record £100million to land the Everton striker, according to reports.

The Toffees hitman has scored 24 goals in the Premier League this season and interest in the Belgium international is thought to be growing.

There was reported interest from Chelsea last summer but no bid came, and now the Blues and Manchester United are a couple of the teams rumoured to be looking into landing Lukaku in the transfer window.

However, he won’t come cheap, with the Liverpool Echo claiming Everton want a £100million fee for the 23-year-old that would eclipse the £89million the Red Devils paid for Paul Pogba.

Ronald Koeman confirmed last week that Lukaku wouldn’t be renewing his contract at Goodison Park, he said: “He told me he won’t sign a new contract.”

Lukaku has two years remaining on his current deal and Everton are understood to be only willing to entertain offers that match their sky-high valuation.
