Developers reported on a drug trial named bacloville, conducted among  320 heavy drinkers aged 18 to 65 between May 2021 and June 2013. Fifty seven people  stopped taking alcohol despite the fact that they took the pill unknowingly.

Ethypharm, the laboratory developing the drug, said it would submit and application for commercialization of bacloren for the treatment of alcohol in France. Though we hope it reaches Uganda too as soon as possible due to the drinking calamity that has hit the pearl.
